GeneEQUAL resources
A suite of best-practice tools will support health professionals to provide inclusive, person-centred and respectful genetic health care for people with intellectual disability. The GeneEQUAL team produced the Educational toolkit comprising videos, key principles, and Easy Read booklets. The toolkit is based on a partnership project with NSW Health which found that people with intellectual disability felt excluded from genetic health consultations and stigmatised by the negative language used about them.
